(1)Any person who establishes oneself as something that the person is not, in a blatantly negligent or malicious manner, shall be guilty of impersonation. (2)This shall be a Class F offence. (3)Subjects shall only be penalized for impersonating persons employed within the federal government or the municipal government. (4)Persons may also be subject to subsection (1) if they create or distribute any material under the name or entity of a person or organization that the person does not belong to, or otherwise have the legal authority to represent the subject in such material, with the intent of spreading harmful and incorrect falsehoods or for the purposes of engaging in fraudulent behavior.
