How do I find a court case?

Use Case Search to search structured public JIS cases by docket number, party, offense, citation, filing text, case type, or status.

How do I see what is currently before the courts?

Use Current Dockets for the live Supreme Court and District Court proceeding lists.

How do I find a motion, order, judgment, or other filed document?

Use Filed Document Search. It searches available public filing metadata and extracted text and is separate from the reusable template library.

Where are blank filing forms and templates?

Visit Forms & Templates for reusable petitions, briefs, appendices, and other filing resources.

How do I find a court rule?

Open Court Rules. Rules of Procedure and Codes of Conduct are organized as distinct sections, and the Rules menu in the primary navigation provides direct shortcuts to each ruleset or conduct code.

Where can I research case law?

Case Law searches the CourtListener Supreme Court index. Locally preserved USAR decisions and order lists are available in USAR Opinions & Orders.

Where can I find judges or a person's public record?

Use Judges for the active District Court bench. Use Arrest & Conviction Records for public JIS person-record searches.

What does the search box at the top of the site search?

The site search finds Courts website pages, hosted rules and conduct provisions, reusable form entries, and locally archived opinion filenames. It does not search live JIS case, filed-document, or person records; use the dedicated tools above for those records.

Who maintains this website?
